The Society Binge Watcher started with a habit: people watching.

What people wear. What they buy. What they order. What they post. The brands, places and little obsessions that suddenly seem to be everywhere.

But the interesting part isn’t what’s trending. It’s why we wanted it in the first place.

Because what we consume rarely exists in a vacuum. There’s identity, aspiration, belonging, status, nostalgia, algorithms and sometimes just very good marketing behind the things we choose.

I’ve always been curious about those patterns. Working in marketing and consumer behaviour only gave me more reasons to question them.

So this is where I keep watching.

The serious thinking behind the not-so-serious things we do.

There’s usually a reason.
We’re nosy enough to find it.

We watch. We wonder why.
